- (iv) Comparing Gauss with fixed grid point method, Gauss
``saves'' a factor of two by doubling the polynomial order for fixed
number of function evaluations. However, this advantage is lost when
compared to Romberg as latter also gains a factor of two as reuses
points. Romberg is further much easier to code.
- (v) So use Romberg if you have a few integrals which are needed
to prescribed accuracy. Use Gaussian Integration when you have a lot
of integrals with similar and the right value of
**n**can be determined before hand.
