About the Survey

This survey started as an attempt to collect information about supercomputing systems past and present. This remit has however broadened first to high performance computing systems and looks like it may be broadened further to high performance computing and communications systems. As such it is the hardware-oriented component of the National Software Exchange.

Many people have contributed material already and further contributions in the form of straight text, information, lecture notes, corrections or links to relevant HTML entries elsewhere on the WWW are very welcome indeed, and will be acknowledged.
